La Palma Recognizes Outstanding Students

LA PALMA Calif. (FNP) – Each year the city of La Palma recognizes four high school seniors and one community college student they believe demonstrates outstanding conduct and serves to the community inside and outside their curriculum.

Applicants need to reside in the city of La Palma, perform extra-curricular activities and make “significant” contributions to the community and school environment. The council is looking for exceptional personal conduct and volunteerism.

Four of the awards will be given to graduating high school seniors. Extra-curricular activities can include band, drill team, sports and clubs. Applicants will also be judged on their outside activities, including church activities and scouts.

Applications can be submitted until May 7 2012.
