Dustin May took a no-hitter into the eighth inning Wednesday night before the Milwaukee Brewers broke through with three hits to rally for a 2-1 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals, according to ESPN.

May had been dominant through seven innings, keeping Milwaukee's lineup scoreless and hitless deep into the game. The no-hit bid unraveled in the eighth, when the Brewers collected three hits and scored twice to overtake a Cardinals team that had led 1-0.

The loss denied St. Louis what would have been a significant pitching milestone and handed Milwaukee a come-from-behind win. May did not factor into a decision in the traditional sense given the late-inning collapse, but the outing still represented one of the longer no-hit bids of the 2026 season.

The final score was 2-1 in favor of Milwaukee.
