Tom Simons, better known online as TommyInnit, is stepping into the chat-show format with a new series that marks the first project from Sony Pictures Television International Production's digital arm. "100 Questions with Tom Simons" gives the host exactly 100 questions to get to know each guest ā and once they run out, the conversation is over.
The debut lineup is an eclectic mix. British national treasure Stephen Fry leads the guest list, joined by physicist Brian Cox and fellow creators including Stampy, James Marriott, and Sweet Anita. Fry recently appeared on Celebrity Traitors, adding another layer of pop-culture crossover to the pairing, as reported by Deadline.
TommyInnit is one of the world's most-followed gaming personalities, with more than 50 million followers across platforms and over a billion YouTube views achieved before he turned 18. He holds the Guinness World Record for the most-followed Minecraft channel on Twitch and has already expanded beyond streaming into books and live tours.
"I started out making videos in my room, and over the past few years I've been lucky enough to build a career outside of that," Simons said. "This feels like a chance to push myself even further out of my comfort zone, having conversations you wouldn't expect."
The series is the brainchild of Sony's new digital studio, led by former BBC Studios executive Matt Ford and ex-Channel 4 digital head Sacha Khari. Ford called the launch "a big moment," describing Simons as "one of the most distinctive creators in the market." Full episodes will live on a dedicated YouTube channel, with clips distributed across TommyInnit's personal platforms. Sony says it is already developing a broader slate of original digital concepts with other creators and talent.
