A cast headlined by Pearl Mackie, Chizzy Akudolu, and Kerry Howard has been assembled for "Locker Room Talk," a new indie series created and showrun by Grace Link. The seven-part comedy-drama unfolds entirely inside a women's changing room after a weekly yoga class, tackling topics from body image to the contradictions of modern womanhood.
Deadline first reported the casting exclusively. Link, known for roles in "Geek Girl" and "Bulletproof," will also appear alongside Florence Andrews and Rhianna Merralls to round out the six-person ensemble. Each episode runs just 10 minutes and will drop on YouTube, with production set to begin in London ahead of a May release.
"This ensemble has the wit and raw magnetism of women I'd love to find myself sitting next to on a moist wooden bench at 7am," Link said. Director Amanda Boyle was equally enthusiastic, praising the cast's "chaotic, loveable, slightly feral energy."
The series has partnered with women's health charities The Pachamama Project and BRC Chat, reflecting what producers describe as a commitment to "amplifying conversations around women's bodies, healthcare and lived experience." Molton Brown is sponsoring the project. With its short-form format and YouTube distribution, the show represents a growing trend of established TV talent embracing digital-first storytelling.
