The second season of "Beef" debuted quietly on Netflix, drawing 2.4 million views in its opening week and landing at number 10 on the platform's English-language TV chart. Season one, which launched in April 2023, pulled in 34.1 million hours viewed in its first week — the equivalent of roughly 5.8 million views — and went on to peak at 70.38 million hours in week two. That puts the drop between the two premieres at approximately 58 percent, according to Variety.

The show's subdued return stood in contrast to stronger performances elsewhere on the chart. "Trust Me: The False Prophet" held the number one TV spot for a second straight week with 6.9 million views. "Salish & Jordan Matter" came in second with 5 million views, and Dan Levy's crime comedy "Big Mistakes" climbed to third place with 4.4 million views — up from 2.7 million in its debut week.

On the film side, "Thrash" dominated. The shark disaster thriller directed by Adam McKay pulled in 34.5 million views during the week of April 13, its second consecutive week at number one. That was down only slightly from the 37.7 million it drew in its debut, which The Wrap noted far outpaced every other title on the list. Phoebe Dynevor stars in the film.

South African film "180" debuted at number two on the film chart with 9.5 million views, followed by "Roommates" at number three with 8.8 million. In non-English TV, French Caribbean thriller "Bandi" led with 5.2 million views, ahead of "Ronaldinho: The One and Only" with 4.7 million.
