Minnesota won 4-2 over Dallas on Tuesday night to take a 3-2 lead in their Western Conference first-round series, putting them one victory away from advancing to the second round for the first time since 2015.

The Wild trailed the series 2-1 just days ago. Back-to-back wins have flipped the situation entirely. Minnesota now controls the series and holds the advantage heading into Game 6.

The 2015 drought has been a recurring reference point for this franchise. Eleven years without a playoff series win is a long time in professional hockey, and the Wild's fanbase has watched several promising rosters fall short. This group has a chance to end that run within the next game.

Dallas, which has been one of the Western Conference's more dangerous teams in recent seasons, now faces elimination. The Stars will need to win two straight to advance. Game 6 is next.
