Mitch Marner delivered a two-goal, one-assist performance and Carter Hart made 21 saves as the Vegas Golden Knights eliminated the Utah Mammoth 5-1 in Game 6 on Friday night, closing out the first-round series and advancing to face the Anaheim Ducks.
The win was convincing. Vegas led wire-to-wire and gave Hart little trouble to handle in net, while Marner drove the offensive output with a multi-point night that was decisive in putting the series away.
The Golden Knights now turn their attention to the Ducks in the next round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
