Zendaya has two major films arriving this summer alongside her partner Tom Holland, and she is not shy about how she feels working with him. In a new feature in ELLE, the Euphoria actress described filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day as something close to a dream.

"And then Spider-Man was a dream; I get to go to work every day with my best friend, the person that I love," she said. "We bring our dogs to work; it's like a family affair. We grew up on those movies! It's like coming home." Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens July 31 and marks the third film in the series the two have starred in together.

According to Billboard, the pair also appear in director Christopher Nolan's adaptation of Homer's The Odyssey, though they did not share any scenes in that film. Zendaya plays Athena, goddess of war, while Holland portrays Telemachus, the son of Odysseus. The film opens July 17 and features a cast that also includes Robert Pattinson, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong'o, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, and Mia Goth.

Zendaya said watching Holland work on The Odyssey made a strong impression. "I could have cried, I was so proud," she said of his performance.

Co-star Matt Damon offered his own account of Zendaya's work on the film. He recalled director Nolan, who is not known for praising individual takes, reacting to one of her scenes in an unusual way. "Zendaya, on the other hand — there were takes where she did one thing, she did this amazing scene, and he [Nolan] said, 'Cut.' And then he went, 'Perfect,'" Damon said. "And literally, Tom [Holland] and I were obsessed with this. She got a 'perfect'? I've never even gotten a 'great.' She got a 'perfect'? He and I b–ched about it for the entire rest of the film. 'Did you get anything today?' 'No, I got a "good"—moving on.' 'Yeah, me too.'"

Zendaya declined to address reports that she and Holland had secretly married earlier this year. Asked about a gold band on her ring finger, she said: "No, I'm not going to do that. They're always searching for something."

Both films arrive within two weeks of each other this July, making it one of the more prominent summers the pair has had in terms of theatrical releases.
