Juventus are pursuing Real Madrid attacker Gonzalo Garcia in a transfer arrangement modeled on the deal that sent Nico Paz to Como two years ago, according to reports out of Italy.
Garcia is 22 years old and has scored seven goals from 34 LaLiga appearances, with six of those coming in the current 2025-26 season. Across all competitions with Real Madrid, he has 13 goals in 51 outings. Reports in Italy, cited by Yahoo Sports, say Juventus have held discussions with Real Madrid over several players in recent weeks, including Antonio Rudiger, David Alaba, Eduardo Camavinga, and Brahim Diaz. Garcia is now the latest name linked.
According to La Stampa, Juventus want to bring Garcia in as a backup striker, with the specific structure of the deal being key to the club's interest. The model they are looking at is the one Real Madrid used when they sent Nico Paz to Como in 2024. That deal cost Como just €6 million upfront. In return, Real Madrid retained a 50 percent sell-on clause and hold an option to bring Paz back to the Bernabeu this summer for €9 million, a figure that rises to €10 million in 2027.
Paz went on to win Serie A midfielder of the year in his first season at Como, making the structure of that deal look increasingly favorable to Real Madrid.
Juventus would want similar terms for Garcia: a low upfront fee, a significant sell-on clause in Real Madrid's favor, and a buy-back option kept with the Spanish club. The arrangement would give Juventus a cost-effective option in attack while limiting their long-term financial exposure.
The club is still working out its first-choice striker situation for next season. Dusan Vlahovic, Randal Kolo Muani, and Jean-Philippe Mateta are all being considered for the lead role. Garcia, under this plan, would serve as a deputy to whichever of those players the club lands.
No deal has been confirmed, and it remains unclear whether Real Madrid are willing to replicate the Paz structure for another young forward.
