Ellie Goulding has confirmed her sixth studio album, I Know Too Much, due out September 4 on Polydor. Alongside the announcement, the British pop singer revealed that a new single, "Black Prada Dress," will be released this Friday, June 5.
The track got its first public airing at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Sunderland on May 23, when Goulding performed it during her main stage set. A televised performance is scheduled for Later... with Jools Holland on June 7, airing on BBC Two. A full tracklist for the album has not yet been released, according to Billboard.
I Know Too Much will be Goulding's first full-length record since 2023's Higher Than Heaven, which debuted at number one on the Official U.K. Albums Chart. That chart position placed her level with Adele for the British female solo artist with the most U.K. number one albums in history, according to the Official Charts Company.
The 39-year-old has maintained a consistent presence on the Billboard Hot 100 throughout her career. Her credits include the number 3 hit "Love Me Like You Do" and 2011's "Lights," which climbed to number 2. She has also collaborated with Swae Lee, Juice WRLD, Diplo, Calvin Harris, and others.
Higher Than Heaven produced one of Goulding's most commercially successful singles in the form of "Miracle," a collaboration with Calvin Harris. The trance-influenced track became her fourth U.K. number one single, earned a Grammy nomination for best dance pop recording, and appeared on Billboard's list of the 30 Best Dance Songs of 2023. It was the third time Goulding and Harris had teamed up.
The new album also arrives with some organic momentum behind it. Goulding's early track "Starry Eyed" topped the TikTok Trending Audio chart earlier this year after resurfacing through nostalgic fan edits and travel content on the platform. The renewed attention drove a spike in streaming numbers across her back catalog.
I Know Too Much is expected in early September.
