Drake London is staying in Atlanta for a long time, and at a significant price.

The Falcons and their star wide receiver agreed to a four-year, $141 million contract extension, according to ESPN. London's agent, Andrew Kessler, confirmed the deal to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The extension locks up one of the younger building blocks on Atlanta's offense. London, a former first-round pick, has developed into one of the more physically imposing receivers in the league since being drafted by the Falcons. The new deal reflects what Atlanta's front office views as a cornerstone piece of their passing attack for years to come.

At $141 million over four years, the contract averages $35.25 million per year, placing London among the highest-paid receivers in the NFL. The deal comes as the market for top wide receivers has pushed upward sharply in recent offseason cycles, with several pass catchers securing deals in the $30 million-per-year range or higher.

The Falcons have made clear through this extension that London is central to their long-term offensive plans, regardless of who lines up at quarterback.
