President Donald Trump said Thursday he has accepted an invitation from New York Knicks owner James Dolan to attend an NBA Finals game at Madison Square Garden next week. According to ESPN, Trump made the announcement Thursday.

The game in question is Game 3 of the NBA Finals, scheduled to be played in New York. It would mark a notable moment at one of the most famous arenas in American sports, with the sitting president in attendance for a championship game being played in his home city.

Trump's appearance at an NBA Finals game would draw attention well beyond the court. The league and the White House have had a complicated relationship in recent years, and a presidential visit to Madison Square Garden for a championship game is not a routine occurrence.

Game 3 is set to take place next week.
