The 2026 Belmont Stakes is set for Saturday at Saratoga Race Course, the third consecutive year the third leg of the Triple Crown has been run at Saratoga while Belmont Park undergoes a multi-year renovation. According to CBS Sports, the race will go to post at 7:04 p.m. ET as Race 13 on the card.

Nine horses drew into the field for the 158th running of the Belmont.

Renegade enters as the 2-1 favorite despite finishing second in the Kentucky Derby. Golden Tempo, who edged Renegade by a neck at the wire in that race, returns at 9-2 odds. Both horses bypassed the Preakness Stakes and are renewing their rivalry directly in the Belmont.

Other top contenders in the field include Chief Wallabee at 3-1, and both Commandment and Emerging Market listed at 6-1.

Vitruvian Man, who carries the longest odds in the field, is making his first Triple Crown appearance and just his second career Grade I stakes start. He finished third at the Santa Anita Derby on April 4 and has won just one of six career races.

Powershift, trained by Todd Pletcher and owned by Repole Staples, is also making his Triple Crown debut. He is coming off a win at Churchill Downs on Derby Day, May 2, and is entering his first Grade I stakes race.

Belmont Park is expected to complete its renovation later this year, which would return the Belmont Stakes to its traditional home beginning in 2027.
