The 2026 Tony Awards were held Sunday at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, with Schmigadoon! taking home Best Musical and Liberation winning Best Play.
According to CBS News, Schmigadoon! entered the night tied for the most nominations with 12. Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman won six Tonys, including Best Revival of a Play, making it the night's biggest individual winner by award count.
Ragtime won Best Revival of a Musical, and its cast dominated the acting categories. Joshua Henry won Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for his performance in the show, and Caissie Levy took Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for the same production.
In the play categories, Lesley Manville won Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Play for Oedipus. Alden Ehrenreich won Best Actor in a Featured Role in a Play for Becky Shaw. Ali Louis Bourzgui won Best Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical for The Lost Boys, and Shoshana Bean won Best Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical for the same show.
Pop star P!nk hosted the ceremony for the first time. Presenters included Adrien Brody, Bowen Yang, Billy Crystal, and Ariana DeBose. The show featured a star-studded performance celebrating the 30th anniversary of Chicago, along with performances from each show nominated for Best Musical and Best Revival of a Musical.
The ceremony was broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+.
