Blink-182 released a 25th anniversary edition of Take Off Your Pants and Jacket on Friday through Geffen Records, adding six previously vault-locked tracks to the original 13-song album.
The six additions, "time to break up," "mother's day," "what went wrong," "f— a dog," "don't tell me it's over," and "when you f—ed grandpa," are now available on streaming platforms for the first time, according to Billboard. The tracks were originally released in 2001 across three separate physical configurations of the album, each tied to one of the three symbols on its cover: a red airplane, yellow pants and a green jacket. They had never before appeared together on a single release.
A 2-LP vinyl edition pressed on black vinyl is available for pre-order. One of the three original emblems will be etched at random onto Side D of each set.
The album first came out on June 12, 2001, produced by Jerry Finn, who also produced the band's 1999 record Enema of the State. Take Off Your Pants and Jacket debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with more than 350,000 copies sold in its first week, becoming the first punk rock album in history to open at the top of that chart. It also reached No. 1 in Canada and Germany and topped the U.K.'s Official Rock and Metal Albums chart.
Three singles from the record all landed in the top 10 of Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart during the same album cycle. "The Rock Show" peaked at No. 3, "Stay Together for the Kids" reached No. 7, and "First Date" also cracked the top 10.
The band, consisting of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker, has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, accumulated over 16 billion streams and earned a Grammy nomination. Their 2023 comeback album ONE MORE TIME logged their third No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200.
