A 68-year-old Minnesota woman who had been missing for several days was found alive after spending what she described as days trapped in a muddy puddle near her vehicle.
Kathryn Woessner was last seen on June 3. Two men, Mike Gravalin and Adam Sandbeck, found her on June 6, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
Woessner had no personal belongings with her when she was found. She told her rescuers that her car had become stuck and that she slipped and fell into a puddle approximately two feet deep while trying to get around to the other side of the vehicle.
Woessner told the men the mud was like quicksand, Gravalin and Sandbeck told KSTP. She said she had been stuck on her back for days and had sustained serious sunburn on her face.
Due to her medical conditions, Woessner was taken to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd following her rescue.
