Perrie Edwards and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain married on June 13 at the Igreja Matriz de Estoi church in the village of Estoi, in Faro, Portugal. Both 32, the couple tied the knot in a ceremony attended by close friends and family in the Algarve region.
According to a report by Billboard, which reposted a British Vogue feature with photos from the wedding, the couple hosted a full long weekend of celebrations. Edwards carried a bouquet of white calla lilies and wore her hair in a bun as she walked down the aisle in a long, flowing white corseted wedding dress with long sleeves and lace detailing. Oxlade-Chamberlain, who plays for Scottish Premiership club Celtic, wore a classic black tuxedo with a white calla lily boutonniere.
After exchanging vows, guests tossed white rose petals at the couple as they walked down the church stairs. Multicolored smoke filled the air. Edwards also posted a black and white photo of the two standing cheek-to-cheek under her veil, introducing the world to "Mr. and Mrs. Oxlade-Chamberlain."
The British Vogue story revealed that Edwards wore three different dresses across the day. Her ceremony gown was a form-fitting lace dress by designer Dana Harel. "I've always envisioned myself in lace," she told the magazine. "It's just so classic and timeless." For the first dance, she wore a crystal-embellished floor-length dress by Galia Lahav paired with Jimmy Choo heels. Once the band Sol & the Gang got the crowd moving, she changed into a custom minidress from Annie's Ibiza with Christian Louboutin heels and a matching headdress. "I wanted to change for the evening so I could dance and be free," she said. "It was short and fun and fab and cinched to the heavens with the corset!"
Edwards described the occasion as the "best day of my life — up there with the births of my children."
The couple got engaged in 2022 and share a four-year-old son, Axel, and a daughter, Alanis, born in January. The 140-person guest list included Edwards' former Little Mix bandmates Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, along with the groom's football teammates Mason Mount, Danny Welbeck and Kieran Gibbs.
Following the ceremony, guests gathered in the courtyard for a champagne and ice cream toast accompanied by a traditional Portuguese guitarist. "We wanted to make sure every moment of the day was an experience for our guests," Edwards said. "We had a sextet at the church, and a 16-piece band at the reception with a full brass section."
