Santiago Gimenez's time at AC Milan may be ending after a season and a half that fell below expectations.
According to Yahoo Sports, the Mexican striker is among the players set to be evaluated under Milan's new direction this summer. Two clubs have emerged as serious options: Orlando City of MLS and Tottenham Hotspur of the Premier League.
Calciomercato.com reported that Orlando City are prepared to present a significant financial offer to Gimenez, with a salary close to $4.6 million per year plus bonuses. Tottenham's interest also remains active. The English club had tracked Gimenez before his original move to the Rossoneri.
How much of this plays out will depend in part on new Milan coach Ruben Amorim, who is said to have asked for a striker with different characteristics suited to his system.
Elsewhere in Serie A transfer activity, Juventus continue to field interest from multiple clubs in Belgian striker Lois Openda. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Lyon entered the race in recent hours, joining Eintracht Frankfurt, Monaco, and Nottingham Forest. No advanced negotiations are reported at this stage.
At Inter Milan, the future of Davide Frattesi sits at the center of several potential deals. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are expected to move for Liverpool's Curtis Jones only after Frattesi's sale is completed. The club is also looking at Roma's Niccolò Pisilli as a midfield option. Pisilli is said to be particularly liked by Inter coach Cristian Chivu and could become a concrete target if the Jones deal proves difficult.
Napoli winger Noa Lang has drawn interest from Fiorentina, according to La Nazione, adding another name to a busy summer of movement in Italian football.
The transfer window continues to develop alongside the 2026 World Cup, with Brazil picking up their first win of the tournament, a 3-0 result over Haiti, while Turkey was eliminated after a loss to Paraguay.
