Rod Brind'Amour will not be in the Hockey Hall of Fame's 2026 class.

The Carolina Hurricanes head coach, 55, was passed over on Monday when the six-person 2026 class was announced, according to ESPN. The decision came less than two weeks after Brind'Amour led the Hurricanes to the Stanley Cup championship.

Brind'Amour's connection to the Hurricanes spans two championship eras. He captained the franchise to a Stanley Cup title in 2006 as a player, then built a career as one of the NHL's most respected coaches before delivering another championship to Carolina last week.

The Hall of Fame announced a six-person class for 2026. Brind'Amour's name was not among them.
