Peacock subscribers can now add Starz directly through the app for $11.99 a month, under a new deal between NBCUniversal and the premium cable network.

The arrangement makes Starz available as an add-on to Peacock's select, premium, and premium plus tiers, the companies announced Tuesday. Subscribers will be able to sign up for Starz without leaving the Peacock platform, according to reporting by both Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter.

"This Starz add-on subscription expands choice for our customers across all three tiers, provides flexibility for subscribers to enhance their experience on Peacock, and allows for deeper engagement with complementary premium content," said Will Gonzalez, Chief Growth and Data Officer at NBCUniversal Media Group. "We're pleased to deliver even more value to customers and give them the opportunity to access more of what they want to watch right on our platform."

Starz Networks president Alison Hoffman said the deal fits the company's overall distribution strategy. "As a complementary premium service, Starz is built to be distributed in a way that enhances and expands the value of a broader platform. With our compelling slate of hit original series for women and underrepresented audiences, alongside our vast portfolio of premium Pay 1 and library films, Starz helps create a more complete and diverse offering for customers."

Starz ended the fourth quarter of 2025 with 12.7 million streaming subscribers in the United States. Peacock, which is U.S.-only, has 46 million subscribers. The deal gives Starz access to a much larger potential subscriber base at a time when the company is under continued pressure on its linear TV side.

Starz split from Lionsgate just over a year ago to operate independently. The company has been building out its streaming library with original series including Outlander, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, and the upcoming Fightland, set to premiere in July 2026.

For Peacock, the Starz deal is part of a broader push to become what NBCU Media Group Chairman Matt Strauss has described as a more multi-faceted digital platform. The streamer has recently added video game titles, vertical video, and AI features. On Monday, YouTube also announced it was adding Peacock's ad-free subscription tier to its own subscription hub.

The announcement came one day after NBCU's parent company Comcast said it plans to split into two separate publicly traded companies, separating its NBCU and Sky holdings from its cable and broadband operations. Peacock previously had a similar add-on arrangement with Hallmark that expired in 2025, and it also maintains a bundling deal with Apple.
