The San Antonio Spurs moved quickly on the first day of NBA free agency, securing two key players on Monday.

Julian Champagnie intends to sign a new three-year, $45 million contract with the Spurs through the 2028-29 season, sources told ESPN. Harrison Barnes is also returning to San Antonio on a one-year, $8 million deal.

The moves give the Spurs continuity alongside star center Victor Wembanyama as the franchise continues to build around its young core.

Champagnie appeared in 82 games for San Antonio last season. Barnes, a veteran forward, adds experience and depth to a roster that is still developing under head coach Mitch Johnson.
