Tottenham Hotspur are pushing to sign Bournemouth attacker Eli Junior Kroupi this summer and are prepared to meet what would be a steep asking price. Bournemouth want at least £90 million before they will consider selling the 20-year-old France Under-21 international, according to Yahoo Sports.
Kroupi scored 13 goals in his debut Premier League season, and Bournemouth have no interest in losing him after just one year on the south coast. The club views him as a prized asset and the price tag reflects his status as one of Europe's top young attackers.
Tottenham identified Kroupi as their next marquee addition under head coach Roberto De Zerbi. Club officials held preliminary discussions with Kroupi's representatives back in March to assess whether a summer move was possible. Following those talks, Kroupi is understood to be open to a switch to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, even with interest from other clubs.
Spurs have already been active this summer. They finalized an £85 million deal for West Ham's Mateus Fernandes and agreed a club-record £100 million fee for Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali. If Kroupi follows, he would be the seventh signing of the summer and the third blockbuster deal in quick succession.
The spending reflects a sharp change in direction. Tottenham finished in the bottom four in back-to-back seasons and are now signaling clear ambitions to change that trajectory in the near term. Whether they can meet Bournemouth's demands and finalize a deal for Kroupi remains to be seen, but talks are expected to accelerate in the coming weeks.
