Fans of Mashle: Magic and Muscles have waited since season 2 wrapped for any concrete news about what comes next. They got it at Anime Expo 2026.
During the Aniplex panel at the convention, it was revealed that Mashle: Magic and Muscles season 3 will premiere in January 2027. A new trailer was also released alongside the announcement, according to Screen Rant. Prior to the panel, the only confirmed information was that season 3 would arrive sometime in 2027. The new trailer provided the first real look at what the season will bring.
Season 3 picks up where season 2 left off, with protagonist Mash and his friends taking the final exam to become Divine Visionaries. The story will introduce a new cast of supporting characters while also bringing back the villainous Innocent Zero and one of Mash's evil brothers, Domina Blowelive. The two are set to clash in what the source material suggests is one of the best fights in the entire series.
The trailer also points to a significant jump in animation quality. Season 2 already showed improvement over the first season, and the footage shown at Anime Expo suggests season 3 will push further still. The combination of stronger animation and a more intense story arc has generated considerable anticipation among the show's fan base.
Mashle: Magic and Muscles built its following through a mix of action and comedy, drawing frequent comparisons to Harry Potter for its magic academy setting. Season 3 is expected to arrive in January 2027.
