Eight years after Avicii's death, a new online platform is giving his global fanbase a place to preserve his legacy together. The Avicii Community launched today at aviciicommunity.com, developed by The Avicii Estate and Pophouse, the company that acquired 75 percent of Avicii's recording and publishing catalog in 2022. The site is free to access after registration.
According to Billboard, the platform is an expansion of the existing avicii.com website. Its core feature is an archive of unseen footage and materials, described in a press release as giving members intimate deep dives into the music and projects that defined Avicii's artistry, revealing the creative force behind them. Fans can also compare their perspectives with the wider community through interactive polls embedded throughout the experience. New content will be added to the archive over time.
One of the more unusual features lets fans act as co-archivists. The platform includes a section where users can help build out and fact-check show details and setlists spanning his career. Eventually, the site will allow fans to upload their own photos and videos from concerts they attended. That crowd-sourced element sets it apart from typical artist tribute pages.
Users who connect a Spotify account to the platform can access playlists curated by friends and collaborators of Avicii, as well as playlists built around key moments in his career. The first playlist in that section will focus on tracks he played during his Tomorrowland sets from 2012 to 2015.
The launch coincides with Tomorrowland 2026, which runs July 17 through 19 in Boom, Belgium. This year's festival will feature the Avicii Tribute Experience, an installation dedicated to the music and legacy of the artist born Tim Bergling.
There was also a notable moment in Stockholm this week. During Bad Bunny's July 11 performance in Avicii's hometown, Bad Bunny's band member José Eduardo Santana performed a cover of Avicii's 2013 track Wake Me Up on the cuatro.
