Marvel Studios President and Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige will receive the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation's highest honor later this year.
According to Deadline, the foundation announced Tuesday that Feige will be given the Pioneer of the Year Award at a ceremony on September 30 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.
Feige is widely credited as the architect of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the single most lucrative franchise in Hollywood history. Starting with Iron Man in 2008, he has produced more than three dozen films that have combined to gross over $32 billion worldwide. Eleven of those films individually crossed the $1 billion mark. Two of them, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, topped $2 billion each.
Two more Avengers films are scheduled for release around Christmas this year and in 2027. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to hit theaters July 31.
"Kevin Feige is a dynamic producer and executive whose creativity and vision entertains and inspires moviegoers everywhere," said Kyle Davies, President of Distribution at Bleecker Street Media and Co-Chairman of the Pioneers Assistance Fund Committee.
The Pioneer of the Year Award has been given for more than 75 years to members of the motion picture industry whose leadership, community service and commitment to philanthropy are considered exceptional. Kate Hudson received the award in 2025. Past honorees include Greta Gerwig, Tom Cruise, Kathleen Kennedy, Barbara Broccoli, Donna Langley and Cecil B. DeMille.
