Trump Media and Technology Group has announced it will begin selling access to Truth Social posts through a new application programming interface, with the service set to launch on August 1. The company says the Truth API will give businesses real-time access to posts from the highest-ranking accounts on the platform.

According to a report by Engadget, the API is specifically designed to deliver posts in milliseconds and will include a historical archive of content going back to 2022.

"Truth API uses familiar, industry-standard delivery methods to deliver Truth Social posts to our customers in milliseconds," Trump Media says. "It is expected to provide continuous 24/7 coverage and includes a historical archive of posts dating back to 2022."

The company's CEO, Kevin McGurn, pointed to the direct connection between Truth Social posts and market activity as a key selling point. McGurn noted that "markets already move on Truth Social posts," suggesting that fast access to those posts carries real financial value for traders and investors.

President Donald Trump is Truth Social's most followed user, with around 12.9 million followers as of July 2026. Trump frequently uses the platform to announce major policy decisions and governmental actions before those announcements reach official channels. He is also a majority shareholder in the platform's parent company through his trust.

Other major social media platforms have offered API access in the past, though the terms have shifted over time. Twitter provided free API access for years before Elon Musk's acquisition of the platform in 2022. Musk closed off free access in 2023, pushing developers toward paid tiers.

Trump Media says it expects the API to become a meaningful and ongoing source of revenue for the company. The announcement frames it as a way to create lasting value for shareholders, a group that includes members of the President's family.

The launch date of August 1 gives potential business customers a short window to review and sign up before the service goes live.
