Shares of Trump Media and Technology Group climbed 13.1 percent week-on-week as investors responded to a new plan to sell fast access to President Donald Trump's market-moving social media posts.

The company announced earlier in the week that it would launch a new product called Truth API on August 1, 2026. The product is a business-to-business data feed that provides licensed, real-time access to posts from the highest-ranking Truth Social accounts. According to Yahoo Finance, the company has already begun signing up customers ahead of the launch and is onboarding additional partners over the next few weeks.

The product targets organizations that need immediate, verified information from influential accounts. Currently, no official integrated API exists for Truth Social. Firms that track influential posts on the platform have relied only on manual monitoring.

Interim CEO Kevin McGurn described the strategic rationale in a statement. "Markets already move on Truth Social posts. Truth API delivers a direct, licensed, real-time feed of the platform's most market-moving Truths while advancing our strategy to monetize proprietary assets through a high-margin, recurring revenue stream," McGurn said. He added: "As adoption grows, we expect Truth API to become a meaningful, ongoing source of revenue for the company, creating lasting value for shareholders."

The Truth API launch is part of a broader set of strategic priorities the company has been pursuing. Trump Media is also in discussions with Crypto.com for prediction contracts and is developing new features including a dedicated sports information section, post-boosting tools to increase visibility of specific content, and expanded use of artificial intelligence across its platforms.

Despite the stock rally, institutional enthusiasm for the company remains limited. Insider Monkey data showed that hedge fund interest in Trump Media weakened in the first quarter, with 17 funds reporting positions compared to 21 in the prior quarter.

The company's financials also present a complicated picture heading into the Truth API launch. In the first quarter ending March 31, Trump Media widened its net loss by 1,180 percent to $405.88 million, compared to a loss of $31.7 million in the same period last year.

Second quarter earnings are expected in early August, around the same time as the Truth API launch date.
