Celtic will face Austrian champions LASK in the Champions League play-off round, with the first leg scheduled for August 18 or 19 at home, according to BBC Sport.
LASK won the Austrian domestic title for the second time last season, their first since 1965, and qualified directly for the play-off round just as Celtic did under manager Martin O'Neill. The return leg will take place the following week.
Of the possible opponents available in the draw, which included Viking Stavanger, Celje, Ararat-Armenia, Kairat Almaty, Levski Sofia, AGF Aarhus, and Sabah, the tie with LASK is considered probably the toughest Celtic could have received. LASK carry a lower coefficient than Celje, but the Austrian league ranks significantly higher than Slovenia's.
Rangers learned they will face either Northern Irish champions Larne or Iberia Tbilisi of Georgia in the Europa League play-offs, provided they first get past Jagiellonia Bialystok of Poland. Rangers will be at home for the first leg of that play-off on August 20.
Hearts, who dropped into the Europa League after losing to Sturm Graz in Champions League qualifying, will take on either AGF Aarhus or Sabah of Azerbaijan if they defeat Benfica. Should Hearts lose to Benfica, they would face either Paide Linnameeskond of Estonia or Rapid Vienna of Austria in the Conference League play-off round. Hearts would also be at home on August 20 in either scenario.
Motherwell will face Bundesliga side Freiburg if they get past Finland's HJK Helsinki. Freiburg were beaten by Aston Villa in last season's Europa League final. Motherwell would also host the first leg if they advance.
Hibernian would take on IFK Gothenburg of Sweden or Gent of Belgium if they eliminate Shkendija of Macedonia. Unlike the other Scottish sides, Hibs' first leg would be played away from home.
