West Bromwich Albion have signed Norwegian midfielder Felix Horn Myhre on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee, the club announced. Myhre joins from SK Brann, a top-flight Norwegian side, and becomes the sixth major signing of the summer for head coach James Morrison.
Myhre is 27 years old and has been capped six times by Norway. He brings European experience to The Hawthorns, having helped Brann reach the knockout stages of the Europa League last season. He has also featured in qualifying rounds of both the Champions League and the Europa Conference League, according to a report by Yahoo Sports.
The move had been rumored for several weeks before it became official. Myhre said conversations with Morrison gave him a "really good vision for the club" and that he saw a "lot of potential" with the squad.
At West Brom, Myhre will be reunited with fellow Norwegian and former Brann teammate Aune Heggebo. The summer business at The Hawthorns has been busy. Morrison has also brought in forward Jimmy-Jay Morgan, defender Conor Townsend, goalkeeper Matt Ingram, and striker Barney Stewart. Former Liverpool defender Carter Pinnington, 19, joined the club's youth setup in June.
