Manchester City wraps up its Asia preseason tour Sunday against Atletico Madrid in Seoul, South Korea, with a 7 a.m. ET kickoff at Seoul World Cup Stadium.

According to USA Today, this is the same stadium where the two clubs met in a friendly three years ago, a match Atletico won 2-1. City's only other meeting with Simeone's side came in the 2021-22 Champions League quarterfinal, which City won 1-0 on aggregate.

The tour has given new manager Enzo Maresca his first extended look at his squad in match conditions. City drew 1-1 with Inter Milan in Hong Kong before losing the resulting shootout, then beat a K-League All-Stars side 3-1 on Wednesday. Maresca took the job this summer and inherited a squad that won both domestic cups last season.

Atletico split its two warmup matches, beating Getafe 4-1 on July 29 before falling to Manchester United 2-1 a few days later. Diego Simeone's teams are typically hard to score against even in preseason, and that pattern is unlikely to change Sunday.

The match carries extra local significance. Atletico spent heavily this summer to sign South Korea international Lee Kang-in from PSG for a reported 40 million euros. His presence gives the Seoul crowd a direct connection to the visiting side.

City will be without several key players for the match. Erling Haaland, Rayan Cherki, Marc Guéhi, Elliot Anderson, and Nico O'Reilly are all still working back to full fitness after participating in the World Cup. Their absence shapes expectations for what City can show in this final tour fixture.

The match streams on Paramount+ and CBS Sports Golazo.
