Ariana Grande brought Cynthia Erivo onstage at her August 16 Eternal Sunshine Tour stop at London's O2 Arena. The two Wicked co-stars performed For Good and Happy Days together on the second of what will be 10 scheduled nights at the venue.
According to Variety, the Eternal Sunshine Tour shares its name with Grande's seventh studio album. The run is set to wrap on September 1, also at the O2.
Grande and Erivo starred together in Jon M. Chu's Wicked and its sequel Wicked: For Good, playing Glinda and Elphaba respectively. Both received Oscar nominations for their performances after the first film's release.
After the tour ends, Grande has said she plans to step back from public life. Her representative told People in early August that she "looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny."
Along with the announcement of her break, it was also revealed that Grande dropped out of the West End revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sunday in the Park With George. She had been set to star alongside fellow Wicked alum Jonathan Bailey.
Grande's eighth studio album, Petal, was released on July 31. The music video for its title track drew additional public attention and online discussion about her physical appearance, adding to what her team described as ongoing scrutiny.
