Justin Timberlake posted a photo reel to Instagram on Tuesday, August 18, offering a look at what his family did over the summer. The post was captioned "Been outside" and featured his wife, actress Jessica Biel, and their two sons, Phineas, 6, and Silas, 11.
According to Billboard, the reel opened with Timberlake and Biel dressed for a night out. Biel wore a floor-length, copper-colored body-hugging dress. Timberlake stood beside her in a baggy gray suit and shades, his hand on her hip.
The couple has kept their children's faces off social media, but the post came close to breaking that practice. One image showed Phineas peeking out from behind an ice cream sundae described as the size of his head, with only his eyes visible above the cherry on top. He wore a blue polo and a bright orange baseball hat. Another photo showed him from behind at what appeared to be a rodeo, wearing a black cowboy hat. The reel closed with Timberlake patting Phineas on the head as the two walked down a fairway, each carrying their own golf bag on a sunny day.
Silas appeared in a photo taken at New York's Mercer Labs art and technology museum. A separate image showed all three Timberlake men looking out a window together, seen from behind. Biel appeared in her own moment, holding up a fish she appeared to have caught from a lake. Other photos showed a green meadow with a river running through it and what looked like a pirate-themed birthday party, with children seated around a table stacked with presents and pirate gear.
Timberlake has largely stayed out of the public eye since wrapping his Forget Tomorrow world tour last July. He revealed after the tour that he had been dealing with Lyme disease symptoms during the run. He made a brief public appearance in January to honor Pharrell Williams at the Recording Academy Honors Black Music Collective event in Los Angeles. His sixth solo album, Everything I Thought It Was, was released in 2024 and reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200 that March.
