The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 20-18 in their preseason finale at SoFi Stadium. Rams kicker Harrison Mevis made two field goals and two extra points, accounting for eight points. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert provided one of the game's biggest plays with a 65-yard touchdown pass to Quentin Johnston in the first quarter. Rams rookie quarterback Ty Simpson answered in the second quarter with an 11-yard touchdown pass to Brennan Presley as Los Angeles built a 13-7 halftime lead. Cameron Dicker made a 34-yard field goal for the Chargers in the third quarter. The Cleveland Browns defeated the New England Patriots 37-13 in their preseason finale at Huntington Bank Field. Quarterback Dillon Gabriel led Cleveland's offense, completing 12 of 15 passes for 186 yards and three touchdowns. Gabriel threw two touchdown passes to Luke Floriea and another to running back Ahmani Marshall. New England quarterback Tommy DeVito completed two of four passes for 55 yards, including a 45-yard touchdown to Kyle Williams.
