Tony Romo has three new citations filed against him, and his return to CBS Sports remains uncertain. The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback has been on indefinite leave from the network since an OWI arrest in July.

According to USA Today Sports, court records show the following charges: "Unsafe passing on the right, possessing open intoxicants and operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI). All three charges were filed on Thursday, Aug. 27."

Romo has not spoken publicly since the original arrest. His spokesperson issued a statement to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel after the new citations were filed. "Tony accepts full responsibility for his actions and has taken proactive steps to ensure that this isolated civil matter is properly resolved. We are working with local authorities to bring this matter to a close and we are communicating with CBS about next steps."

CBS Sports president David Berson has addressed Romo's status with the network, and J.J. Watt has stepped in as a replacement in the interim. No official timeline has been given for Romo's return.

Romo is scheduled to appear in court on September 21.
