Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have a dog. Her name is Wendy, she is a white Samoyed, and she made her official public debut in a new Tommy Hilfiger fall campaign filmed at New York's Plaza Hotel.
According to Billboard, Forbes confirmed the dog's name. Kelce, the 36-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end, appears in the two-minute ad alongside model Gigi Hadid, tennis star Francis Tiafoe, former NBA all-star Carmelo Anthony, South Korean DJ and singer Peggy Gou, and BLACKPINK's Jisoo, also a Hilfiger ambassador.
The ad follows Kelce arriving at the Plaza in a gray hoodie and khaki coat, fist-bumping the doorman on the way in. He later retreats to his hotel room with Wendy before a series of run-ins with the other celebrities. The spot ends with a street encounter with Tommy Hilfiger himself. Both the ad and bonus footage released by Hilfiger are set to late KISS guitarist Ace Frehley's 1978 hit cover of "New York Groove."
Kelce spoke to Vogue about Wendy after a reporter expressed admiration for the dog. "Are you kidding me? She lights up my day," he said. He added that after the Hilfiger team expressed interest in including a dog in the campaign, the choice was clear. "We figured, why not her? She crushed it, and actually really fit into that Tommy aesthetic, too," Kelce told the magazine. "Those are some of my favorite shots."
In a statement about the campaign, Kelce said, "Tommy brought us into his world at The Plaza for this, and it doesn't get more classic New York than that. There's a magic to this city, and I love that you never know who or what's around the corner. We had a blast tapping into that unique energy with a cast who truly embody the vibes that make this city so special."
Rumors about the couple adopting a dog had circulated earlier in the year, before their wedding at Madison Square Garden on July 3. Footage had appeared to show a white dog resembling Wendy getting out of one of Swift's vehicles. With Wendy now confirmed, the Swift-Kelce household has four pets: Wendy and Swift's three cats, Olivia Benson, Benjamin Button and Meredith Grey.
