Jim Curtis is talking. The wellness coach and author, who has been romantically linked to Jennifer Aniston for more than a year, gave a rare and candid account of their relationship during a recent appearance on The Jamie Kern Lima Show podcast.
Curtis described Aniston in consistently warm terms throughout the interview. "It's going really well. My experience of her is so grounded and so open and caring and kind and loving," he said.
The couple first appeared together publicly in July 2025, when they were spotted on a yacht off Mallorca, Spain. Photographs showed Aniston placing her hand over Curtis' while he wrapped an arm around her waist. At the time, sources told People the two were "casually dating and having fun" and described Aniston as "grounded, fulfilled and very happy."
Curtis' recent comments suggest things have moved well past casual. He spoke about being brought into Aniston's close inner circle, which he described as family-like. "She uses words like 'my love.' … She has this group of best friends that are like family," he said. "I feel incredibly blessed to be part and welcomed into that family, and I feel blessed to be in a relationship with someone that is so open-hearted."
He also praised her for staying true to herself despite decades of Hollywood fame. "She has an opportunity. Like, you would understand if she was less so. … Right? I think that she is a real example of stepping into possibility, as she came from ... living in New York and New Jersey, and, like, there was … this kind of household name and retained herself," Curtis said.
On the subject of disagreements, Curtis said the couple relies on communication and acceptance rather than letting conflicts escalate. "We do a lot of meditation. We do a lot of talk," he said. He added that because the relationship is still relatively new, the tools they need are not heavy ones. "And, you know … in a honeymoon phase … your tools don't have to be like big sledgehammers," he said.
Curtis also touched on what he sees as a broader lesson in how they relate to each other. "Inclusive. Isn't that a beautiful thing? We're really a model for how we can all be in this world, right?" he said.
Aniston is best known for her role as Rachel Green on the long-running NBC sitcom Friends. She and Curtis have kept most of their relationship out of the public eye since they were first spotted together more than a year ago.
