BLACKPINK's Lisa Drops Bangkok-Shot Video for Rap Single SaWaDiKa

BLACKPINK's Lisa released the video for her new single "SaWaDiKa" on Friday, September 4, and it opens with a declaration. The Thai word translates to "hello," and Lisa wastes no time making clear what kind of return this is.

"Hello Sawadika/ Yeah you know my wrist is cold/ Got this timepiece from Geneva/ If you know it then you know," she raps at the top of the video. She follows that with: "I'm that b–ch on your TV/ And my Ferrari indigo/ La la lisa la diva/ Sawadika there she go."

The video was shot in Lisa's native Bangkok and directed by Bang Jae Yeob, who has worked with Stray Kids and Aespa. According to Billboard, the clip functions as a tour of Thai landmarks, including the Hua Lamphong railway station, the Soi Charoen Khet 1 neighborhood, and Dib Bangkok, the contemporary art museum that opened last year.

The fashion in the video moves fast. Lisa opens in a black feathered catsuit, then appears in a spangly burgundy two-piece with jewel-dripping headphones, a towering black feather headdress on a rooftop, a neon blue bikini in an underground tunnel, and a red leather bodysuit with boxing shorts featuring the song's title in rhinestones across the waist, a look inspired by Muay Thai boxing.

The song itself is spare and bass-heavy. It was produced by Thom Bridges, who has worked with KATSEYE and John Summit.

"SaWaDiKa" is the lead single from Lisa's Press Play EP, set for release on October 23. It is her first solo release of 2026, following "Goals," her FIFA World Cup 2026 anthem recorded with Anitta and Rema.

Lisa has a packed fall schedule. Her documentary Always Lalisa drops October 12. Her Viva La Lisa Residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas is set for November 13, 14, 27, and 28.
