Manhattan will mark Friday, October 30, as Harry Styles Appreciation Day as the singer enters the final weekend of his record-setting 30-show residency at Madison Square Garden. Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman-Sigal announced the recognition as Styles prepares for two final “Harryween” concerts on October 30 and 31.

The proclamation honors Styles for his music and the connection he has built with New York audiences. Hoylman-Sigal described him as a major musical talent whose songs have reached fans around the world and praised the memories created during his extended run at Madison Square Garden.

Styles began the Together, Together residency on August 26. Madison Square Garden Entertainment said the run consists of 30 performances scheduled every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday through October 31. The New York dates are his only U.S. shows on the 2026 Together, Together tour and represent the largest number of shows at any single venue on the tour.

The October 30 concert is not the final night of the residency. It is the 29th show and the first of two Halloween-themed “Harryween” performances. The residency is scheduled to end on Saturday, October 31.

The scale of the current run builds on Styles’ long history with Madison Square Garden. He previously played 15 consecutive sold-out shows at the arena in 2022 during Love On Tour. That run was commemorated with a banner raised inside the Garden.

Styles’ 2026 residency doubles the number of shows from that 2022 stretch. CBS New York reported in January that the 30-date engagement would run from late August through Halloween, with all shows scheduled at Madison Square Garden.

The long stay has also made Styles a more frequent presence around New York. Rolling Stone reported that he has been spotted walking between Brooklyn and Manhattan on show days, visiting coffee shops and talking with fans. The publication also noted that feather boas, long associated with fans attending his concerts, have again become a familiar sight around the venue.

Those details are part of what the borough president’s proclamation sought to recognize. The honor is ceremonial, but it comes during a week when Styles’ connection to New York has been especially visible.

At the October 28 show, Styles performed “Ever Since New York,” a song from his 2017 self-titled debut album. Rolling Stone reported that it was the first time he had performed the track in four years and the first time he had included it during the current 30-show residency.

The song has rarely appeared in recent set lists. Setlist.fm also records the October 28 performance as the tour debut for “Ever Since New York,” placing it in the encore before “Sign of the Times” and “Aperture.”

The choice carried extra significance because Styles last performed the song during his 2022 Madison Square Garden run. Its return came during the final regular show before the two Halloween concerts that will close the 2026 residency.

The final two dates are being promoted by Madison Square Garden as “Harryween.” The arena has posted costume rules for concertgoers and has also announced special merchandise tied to the Halloween weekend.

Styles’ current residency is part of his Together, Together world tour, which includes shows in a limited number of cities. Madison Square Garden said New York has more performances than any other city on the tour.

The singer has been closely associated with the venue for years. He first performed there as a member of One Direction and later returned for solo appearances, including his large 2022 run. His 2026 schedule further strengthened that relationship by keeping him at the Garden for more than two months.

Harry Styles Appreciation Day will therefore fall during the final weekend rather than after the residency has ended. The October 30 proclamation coincides with the 29th performance, while the 30th and final Madison Square Garden show is scheduled for Halloween night on October 31.
