The 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival opened its first weekend with a landmark moment on Friday as BINI became the first act from the Philippines ever to perform at the iconic desert festival. The eight-member girl group took the Mojave stage for a 45-minute set, opening in gold dresses before tearing them away to reveal blue-turquoise beaded outfits that they wore for the rest of the performance.

"We are so happy to be here to represent the Philippines on the global stage and to share with you guys our music," member Aiah told the cheering crowd, where fans waved the Philippine flag. The group, which rose to viral fame with their tropical pop single "Pantropiko," timed the release of their third EP, *Signals*, just one day before their Coachella debut. They'll return for the festival's second weekend on April 17.

Meanwhile, the festival is also intersecting with one of entertainment's messiest ongoing feuds. Labrinth, who is a confirmed performer at Coachella 2026, took to Instagram on Saturday to fire back at *Euphoria* creator Sam Levinson over the musician's departure from the HBO series. "I don't let people treat me like shit," Labrinth wrote, responding to Levinson's claim in Rolling Stone that he didn't know why the composer left. Labrinth's score and songs — including the Emmy-winning "All for Us" with Zendaya — defined the show's first two seasons. Hans Zimmer has taken over scoring duties for season three, which premieres Sunday on HBO.

Adding to the Coachella-*Euphoria* overlap, the season three premiere is expected to screen on-site for festival attendees. This year's headliners include Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G, with acts ranging from The Strokes and Laufey to KATSEYE and Young Thug filling out the lineup across both weekends.
