The update came after TMZ reported that Applegate was hospitalized in Los Angeles on April 16. According to Rolling Stone, the actress's representative declined to confirm whether she was seeking medical treatment but noted her "long history of complicated medical conditions that she has been refreshingly open about, as evidenced in her memoir and on her podcast."
Applegate has become one of the most outspoken voices in the MS community through her podcast, *MeSsy*, co-hosted with Jamie-Lynn Sigler, and the support initiative NextInMS.com. In a recent interview, she described the platform in characteristically blunt terms. "I always tell people that I don't speak in flowers, and I think that's really important," she said.
