The former Little Mix singer says the stolen vehicle held essential hospital equipment for her twin daughters, who were diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy earlier this year.

Former Little Mix member Jesy Nelson has issued a public appeal after her car was stolen from her driveway in Brentwood, Essex, with essential medical equipment for her infant twin daughters still inside.

Nelson shared the news on Instagram Stories, revealing that her black Land Rover Defender was taken in the early hours of the morning. "Please if any of you have seen or know of any information, can you DM me or contact the police," she wrote, according to Billboard. "I have so much of my girls' hospital equipment in that car that's really needed."

The theft is especially urgent because of the health needs of Nelson's daughters, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe, who were diagnosed earlier this year with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), a rare genetic condition affecting muscle strength and movement. SMA, particularly Type 1, can impair breathing, swallowing, and mobility, often requiring specialized equipment for daily care. In January, Nelson shared that doctors told her the children may not be able to walk or regain full neck strength.

Since opening up about her daughters' diagnosis, Nelson has become an advocate for SMA awareness. She recently voiced support for government plans to introduce newborn screening for the condition, emphasizing the importance of early detection. At the time of reporting, there have been no updates on the vehicle's recovery.
