The NFL released its full 272-game regular season schedule Thursday night, giving fans across all 32 franchises a complete look at their team's 2026 campaign four months before the first kickoff.
The season opens Wednesday, September 9, with the Seattle Seahawks hosting the New England Patriots. According to CBS Sports, it marks only the second time in 75 years the NFL has launched a season on a Wednesday. The following night brings an even more historic moment: the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers will face off in Melbourne, Australia, in what the league is billing as its first-ever game on Australian soil. The game kicks off Thursday night Eastern Time, which translates to Friday morning locally in Melbourne.
Other Week 1 matchups include the New York Giants hosting the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football and the Kansas City Chiefs welcoming the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football.
The international slate extends well into the season. The Baltimore Ravens are scheduled to play the Dallas Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in Week 3 on September 27. The Atlanta Falcons travel to Madrid, Spain, in Week 9 on November 8 to face the Cincinnati Bengals at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time on NFL Network.
Prime-time games are spread across the schedule from the opening week. The Atlanta Falcons play on Thursday Night Football in Week 3 at the Green Bay Packers, then appear on Monday Night Football in Week 4 at the New Orleans Saints and Sunday Night Football in Week 5 at home against the Baltimore Ravens.
The Arizona Cardinals open on the road in Week 1 at the Los Angeles Chargers before returning home in Week 2 to host the Seattle Seahawks. Their schedule includes a late-season home game against the Philadelphia Eagles on December 6 and closes with a home game against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 18 on a date still to be determined.
Several teams carry flexible scheduling slots late in the season, with some Week 16, 17, and 18 games listed as time and date to be determined pending late-season standings.
