Billy Crystal will return to Broadway this fall with a new one-man show built around personal loss. The production, titled 860, will begin a limited 14-week engagement at the Imperial Theatre on October 1, officially open October 21, and run through January 3, 2027.
According to Deadline, the show is directed by Scott Ellis and produced by Janice Crystal, James L. Nederlander, Larry Magid, and Face Productions. The complete creative team will be announced in the coming weeks.
The title refers to the street number of Crystal's home, which was destroyed in the Palisades fires. The show's synopsis describes Crystal reflecting on his family and career, focusing on the memories and moments that mattered most and how laughter can help people through difficult times.
Crystal presented the Best Play Revival Award at the June 7 Tony Awards telecast. His Broadway history goes back to 2004, when he debuted with the original one-man show 700 Sundays, a production that earned him a Tony Award. That show was later taped in front of a live audience for an HBO special that aired in April 2014. In 2022, Crystal returned to Broadway with Mr. Saturday Night, a musical adaptation of his 1992 film.
860 opens October 1 at the Imperial Theatre.
