Carlos Queiroz resigned as head coach of Ghana on Sunday, three months after taking the job, following the team's elimination from the 2026 World Cup. Ghana lost 1-0 to Colombia in the Round of 32 after finishing third in Group L.

Queiroz, 73, took charge of Ghana in April. The exit marked his fifth consecutive World Cup as a national team head coach, according to BBC Sport. He previously led Iran, Portugal, and Egypt at major tournaments, in addition to his earlier work as an assistant and manager at club level, including a stint at Manchester United.

Queiroz was one of two managers to leave their post on Sunday following World Cup exits. Jordan also parted ways with head coach Jamal Sellami after the team finished fourth in Group J and were eliminated.
