The Los Angeles Dodgers became the first team in Major League Baseball to reach 60 wins this season when catcher Dalton Rushing lined a walk-off single in the 11th inning. It was the team's first extra-innings game of the 2026 season, and they needed every bit of it to claim the milestone victory.
According to ESPN, Rushing's hit ended a game that had stretched past regulation, capping a moment that put the Dodgers in a class of their own across the league at this point in the calendar.
The Dodgers now sit at 60 wins while the rest of the National League scrambles to keep pace. In the NL Central, the Milwaukee Brewers hold the division lead at 55-33, giving them the best record in the division by a wide margin over the St. Louis Cardinals, who are 47-40.
Those two teams are set to meet Tuesday in a doubleheader at Busch Stadium. The first game, scheduled for 2:15 p.m. ET, serves as a makeup for a contest rained out on May 5. Milwaukee enters as a heavy favorite at -190 on the money line, according to CBS Sports. St. Louis is listed at +158.
The pitching matchup leans heavily in Milwaukee's favor. The Brewers hand the ball to Jacob Misiorowski, who owns a 1.47 ERA and a 9-4 record this season. He has struck out 156 batters and posted a 0.78 WHIP across 104 innings. St. Louis counters with Hunter Dobbins, recalled from Triple-A Memphis for a spot start.
Milwaukee also leads the season series against St. Louis 4-1, adding another layer of pressure on the Cardinals heading into the twin bill.
