Apple Music is raising its subscription prices in the United States and other countries, the company announced this week. The increase is the first for the service since October 2022, according to a report by Deadline.
The individual plan will now cost $11.99 per month, up from $10.99. The family plan increases from $16.99 to $19.99, and the student plan goes from $5.99 to $6.99.
"As a result of rising licensing costs, Apple Music is increasing its subscription price beginning today," Apple said in a statement.
Apple also raised prices on several tiers of its Apple One bundles, which include Apple Music. The individual Apple One plan remains at $19.95 per month. The Family tier rises from $25.95 to $27.95, and the Premier plan goes from $37.95 to $39.95.
The last time Apple Music changed its individual plan price was in October 2022, when it rose by one dollar from $9.99 to $10.99.
The move follows a similar increase by Spotify earlier this year. Spotify raised its Premium subscription from $11.99 to $12.99 per month. Apple Music's individual plan remains cheaper than Spotify's at the current rates.
Apple has raised prices on other services in recent years. In August 2025, the company increased the price of Apple TV from $9.99 to $12.99 per month. That price increase did not affect Apple One bundle prices at the time.
