A custom ping-pong table inspired by Spider-Man and bearing the signature of the late Marvel Comics icon Stan Lee has hit the market for $480,000, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The piece was created by 11 Ravens, a Los Angeles-based luxury gaming furniture company whose client list includes Timothée Chalamet, Kylie Jenner, Robert Downey Jr., Lilly Singh, and Wayne Gretzky.

The company is calling it the most ambitious collectible ever made in-house. There are no plans to produce another one like it, making it a true one-of-one. The table features a red spider web motif and was designed to function as both a playable championship-level game table and a museum-quality sculpture. It was made entirely in Los Angeles.

Construction took more than 1,000 hours and involved master artisans working with materials more commonly found in aerospace manufacturing and Swiss watchmaking. The table's structural framework was precision-machined using aerospace-grade aluminum. The sculptural base is made from individually cast museum-grade translucent resin, hand-polished through multiple finishing stages to create what 11 Ravens describes as optical depth and luminosity. Metallic components received a black PVD titanium coating, a vapor deposition technique used in high-end watchmaking and auto engineering.

Lee's signature sits at the center of the playing surface, permanently preserved. Lee co-created Spider-Man with artist Steve Ditko, and over the course of his career created or co-created Black Panther, the X-Men, the Mighty Thor, Iron Man, the Fantastic Four, the Incredible Hulk, Daredevil, and Ant-Man, among many others. He died in November 2018 at age 95.

"For 15 years, our mission has been to transform game tables into collectible works of art," said 11 Ravens founder and CEO Michael Zaretsky, who is also a former professional ping-pong player. "This piece represents the culmination of that philosophy. Every material, every surface, and every detail was considered with the goal of creating an object that is as extraordinary as it is functional."

11 Ravens holds the distinction of being the only gaming furniture brand with a showroom at West Hollywood's Pacific Design Center.
