Country singer Ella Langley is extending the reach of her sophomore album Dandelion into a new product category: beer.
On August 13, Texas-based Shiner will launch a limited collaboration called Dandelion Honey Kolsch, inspired by Langley's album. The Kolsch-style beer is brewed with dandelion honey and described as offering sweet floral notes. Its label features honey tones and is decorated with dandelions, mirroring the aesthetic of the record.
According to Billboard, the collaboration comes as Langley is dominating the charts. Her song "Choosin' Texas" is currently in its 16th week at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, while Dandelion itself remains in the top five of the all-genre Billboard 200.
Dandelion was released in April. The album includes "Choosin' Texas," "Be Her," and "Butterfly Season," the last of which features Miranda Lambert. Langley co-executive produced the album with Lambert and producer Ben West.
Shiner teased the beer collaboration with a video on Instagram. The company also appeared in a widely shared clip from Langley's video shoot for "Choosin' Texas," in which she holds two bottles of Shiner beer, then pops the cap off one of them with the heel of her boot. She tilts the bottle toward the camera, nods, and says, "Cheers."
The beer is not the only brand extension Langley has pursued in recent months. She worked with NOYZ on a perfume called Be Her By Ella Langley, described as carrying notes of violet and peony. She has also collaborated with BUM Energy on an energy drink and has partnered with American Eagle and Boot Barn.
Country music is holding a firm grip on the Hot 100 this week. Alongside Langley's "Choosin' Texas" at number one, the entire top five consists of country songs, including Morgan Wallen's "Be By Now," the Langley and Wallen collaboration "I Can't Love You Anymore," Taylor Swift's "I Knew It, I Knew You," and Stella Lefty's "Boston."
