The 81-year-old singer's One Last Time tour has now seen multiple health-related disruptions since June.

Rod Stewart's scheduled Sunday night concert in Cincinnati was called off hours before showtime due to a medical issue. The show at Riverbend Music Center, which was to feature Stewart alongside Richard Marx, was postponed after the venue posted a statement explaining the situation.

According to Billboard, the statement from Riverbend read: "due to an unforeseen but minor medical procedure that required prompt attention, Rod Stewart's performance tonight in Cincinnati at Riverband Music Center has been postponed." The venue added that Rod is expected to make a quick recovery and looks forward to returning to Cincinnati. Rescheduling is underway, with more information expected Tuesday, August 11. Previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled date.

A spokesperson for Stewart had not responded to requests for comment at press time.

This is not the first health-related incident on the tour. On June 19, Stewart paused his show at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre in West Valley City after visibly struggling onstage. He was seen doubling over in discomfort and was brought an oxygen tank. After having difficulty finishing his 1981 Billboard Hot 100 No. 5 hit "Young Turks," he leaned against stage equipment before the oxygen tank arrived. He later told the crowd he had almost fainted but said "the show must go on," and joked, "would you mind if I sat down for this one?" before finishing the concert from a chair.

Stewart also drew criticism in June after canceling a San Diego show less than an hour before showtime due to an acute upper respiratory infection causing laryngitis. He then appeared hours later at the Scotland World Cup match in Boston.

The 81-year-old has described the One Last Time tour as potentially his final run of large-scale shows. In May, he told U.K. soccer chat show TalkSport: "I've got 40-odd shows this year and that's not really a lot. And I'm touring the U.K. next year and doing the O2 and that will probably be it, I think. I'll have to do something new … come on your show more often."

Stewart's next scheduled date is Tuesday, August 11, at Rocket Arena in Cleveland. As of press time, that show appeared to still be on.
