Major League Baseball's Field of Dreams Game returns Thursday after a three-year absence, and for the first time in the event's history, it will feature an interleague matchup. The Philadelphia Phillies and the Minnesota Twins will play at the Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa, with first pitch scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
According to CBS Sports, the game takes its name from the iconic 1989 film and was first held in 2021, with a second edition following a year later. Renovations at the ballpark forced a hiatus for several years before the event's return in 2026.
Minnesota enters as the designated home team and a -112 favorite on the money line. The over/under for total runs is set at 8.5. The Phillies come in at 64-58 on the season and have dropped two straight. The Twins sit at 60-62 but are coming off a Wednesday victory over Baltimore.
Aaron Nola gets the start for Philadelphia. He carries a 3-9 record and a 5.47 ERA into the game. His last 12 starts have generally produced high-scoring games, with those outings averaging 10.7 total runs. The over/under has gone over in 57% of games Nola has started this season.
